New “A Series Of Unfortunate Events” Teaser

By guest contributor: Stacy Rickard

Fans of the best-selling book franchise, an unfortunate event has actually occurred. On Sunday, a YouTube video surfaced that looked to be an official trailer for the new Netflix adaptation of  A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The deliciously creepy video shows everything from the Pasta Puttanesca, to the Lachrymose Leeches, to a haunting silhouette of Count Olaf himself.

A representative for Netflix has said that the company was not actually behind the mysterious new teaser, and although the trailer seems to capture the essence of the series the fans know and love…it’s not necessarily a sign of what’s to come.

The Netflix live-action series does not have a premiere date yet, so fans will have to keep re-reading the books until further notice. The project is being produced by Netflix in collaboration with Paramount Television. Paramount was behind the movie starring Jim Carrey from 2004.
