Kendrick Lamar Performs “I” On The SNL Stage

By TD411 contributor: Bethsaida Romelus

Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest on this week’s “SNL,” hosted by Woody Harrelson. He hit the stage performing “I” the first single off his upcoming untitled album, which is rumored to be released in early 2015.

I” debuted in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it was released in late September. The song samples a lot from the Isley Brothers’ song, “That Lady,” and the video for it, which came out earlier in November, actually features Ron Isley.

This is the second time Lamar has appeared on “SNL.” Lamar was the musical guest in January 2013 when Adam Levine hosted the show during which he performed “Swimming Pools (Drank).”
